how does salt electrolysis work?
Salt electrolysis systems add a new concept to the water treatment of
the pool, as they increase the quality of the water, avoid the use of chemical products and
make maintenance work easier.
Salt electrolysis process:
1. We add common salt to the water, approximately 5 grams per litre of water (a proportion
nine times lower than that of salt in the sea, in a proportion similar to that of a tear).
2. Once dissolved, we apply an electric current through the electrode, the salt is
converted into chlorine and, therefore, we already have the disinfectant product we need in the
water which destroys all the microorganisms that may be in the water.
3once the chlorine has fulfilled its function as a disinfectant agent, it is converted
back into salt, so the salt concentration remains constant and only small
replacements are needed due to the loss caused by filter washings, rain, etc
