BL121-10 Wall mounted pH and chlorine controller. Supplied with a complete installation kit including a combined pH/REDOX/Temperature electrode with differential digital input and electrode with 2m cable, 5m of injection tubing for peristaltic pumps, injectors (2 pcs.), electrode mounting collars (tube Ø 50 mm) and injectors (2 pcs. for tube Ø 50 mm), spare tubing for peristaltic pumps (2 pcs. for tube Ø 50 mm), electrode mounting collars (tube Ø 50 mm) and injectors (2 pieces for tube Ø 50 mm), spare tubes for peristaltic pumps (2 pieces), suction filter (2 pieces), pH 4.01 and 7.01 buffer solutions in bags (3 x 20 ml each), REDOX 470 mV solution (250 ml) and a power cable.
A single probe for three parameters
The HI1036-1802 digital multiparameter probe incorporating pH, REDOX and temperature sensor with Matching Pin. All readings are taken with a single probe and the data is transferred to the controller via a digital connection. Both the digital connection and the Matching Pin provide stable and reliable measurements. Without these two components, electrical noise generated by recirculation pumps and ground loops can interfere, causing erroneous readings and premature probe failure
Metering pumps
The BL121 incorporates two peristaltic pumps with adjustable flow rates that are proportionally controlled. One pump is used for dosing acid while the other is used for dosing chlorine.
The need for chlorine dosing is determined by REDOX, but is related to the pH value of the water. A pool with a fixed concentration of chlorine will show a decrease in REDOX as the pH of the water increases. The BL121 uses a control system that does not allow chlorine to be dosed until the pH value is first corrected, as it is possible to have a low REDOX value even if there is sufficient chlorine. The dosing consent will prevent chemical waste and the water having a higher level of chlorine concentration than desired.
Measurement and event history
Measurement and log readings are taken every 10 seconds, with a new log batch for each new day or after calibration of the instrument. Logged data includes pH, REDOX and temperature values, plus the latest calibration data, configuration and any events that occur.
Three 4-20 mA analogue outputs are available for users wishing to connect to an external control or recorder of the three measured parameters. The outputs are scalable, offering greater flexibility and better resolution as required.
