Peristaltic pumps work on the peristalsis principle, which consists of a motor with a central shaft connected to a series of compressor rollers that rotate in a circular motion, as if they were a waterwheel, and compress a flexible tube that surrounds them and through which the liquid flows.

When the shaft is in motion, the compressed parts of the tube move the fluid forward.

Peristaltic pumps are ideal for pumping liquid chemical products due to their simplicity and, in addition, they have a low cost compared to other types of pumps, both in terms of manufacture and maintenance.
