PH peristaltic pump CTX E-Series
A peristaltic pump is a type of hydraulic pump used to pump a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube inside a circular pump casing. A rotor with a number of rollers, shoes or wipers attached to the outer circumference compresses the tube. As the rotor turns, the part of the tube under compression closes forcing the pumped fluid to move through the tube. In addition as the tube is re-opened flow is induced into the pump, this process is known as peristalsis.
The pH is the parameter that measures the acidity or alkalinity of water. Alkaline water is water with a pH higher than 7.6 and acidic water is water with a pH lower than 7.2, the recommended values being between 7.2 and 7.6. Higher or lower values can reduce the effectiveness of chemical treatments.
