Actual product Technical characteristics
1.5 metre pH electrode
A pH probe or electrode with a 1.5 metre cable used to measure the pH level of water.
PH measurements are carried out by a chemical reaction that produces an electrical potential which is read by a special sensor called an electrode. The electrodes are active elements with a limited lifetime and must be calibrated periodically with known solutions (buffer solutions, in this case the buffer solution pH 7 and pH 4 is usually used).
These electrodes are of the combined type (Measurement + Reference) and are classified according to their chemical and physical properties which make them suitable for multiple applications
Recommendations for use and maintenance(see document)
The following elements should be considered when choosing an electrode:
- Measuring range.
- Temperature.
- Pressure chemical substances present in the process.
- Type of mounting in the system.
